Affinity Analysis

User Persona and Scenario
Persona

Scenario | Story boarding
We all have friends but there are scenarios where we couldn’t share our personal daily life details with others. One of this situation was faced by Preeti

All parents wants to give a secure environment to their kids. So does Sasha but parents also need some privacy, what about their privacy? Well, one of the difficult faced by Sasha.
What can Sasha do now? Hide the content or never give the phone to the kid, is that realistic not to give the phone?
Keeping these personas and there scenarios in mind, moving towards Brainstorming and Ideation.
Brainstorming

The process of creating a project from scratch can be a daunting one. We could apply our efforts in so many different directions, and it’s often challenging to get everyone on the same page. Working on key features and mode.
The application have three key features keeping them in mind and thinking how user is going to use. Multiple question arises while ideating; Is it going to solve the pain-point ? Keeping two modes in App will solve handover of phone issue? How can they shut modes in a fraction of second? If someone read message from notification. Will more choices will lead to decision fatigue.
Ideation
Started sketching out solutions on board to give freedom to the flow of thought and not be constrained by details. Main objective was to create an easy flow and a clearer way to navigate.

Wireframe
Its time to get into wireframe

The quick and dirty layout helped to get into the flow, helped to communicate ideas sooner in the design process. They encourage a faster cycle of feedback and iteration.

Mid-Fidelity Wireframe
- Mid-fidelity helped in getting accurate depictions of the layout.
- Differentiating things like buttons from text only links.
- Varying text weights e used to separate headings and body content.
- Though still black and white, used different shades of grey. To communicate the visual prominence of certain elements.
- Avoided final images, font and icons.

High -Fidelity Wireframe
- High-fidelity helped in prototyping and testing.
- Better understanding of typography and icon legibility with colour and Detail is given to specific components.
- Kept FAB in theme colour for most recognisable and to differentiate the modes.
Colour & Typography

Colour Theme
Sush Primary colour is Slate blue. It uses two variations of this color to distinguish different UI elements. And Shut Mode colour is Midnight Express.
Colour Psycology
Slate Blue : Positive affects on the mind as the colour of the spirit and connects with youth it invokes fun and exude feelings of tranquility.
Midnight Express : It is an intrepid dark blue, powerful and authoritarian. Gives vibes of secrecy.
Final Step

Home to Shut mode
Shut mode : Keep your chats private. It does not give access to anyone without passcode, can not move any type of content out of the shut mode.
Unique Features
Different features for personal chat and group chat.
One of the major feature is time destructive which is common in personal and group chat.
Outcome
Managed to create a messaging app which is familiar to users with additional new features . These features should significantly increase the communication between their contacts which will in turn help them keep their privacy and have fun at same time.
